Birthday Cake Smoothie

This dessert-like smoothie is secretly balanced with fiber, healthy fats, protein for all day energy & blood sugar balance.

This smoothie also happens to be dairy-free and gluten-free (depending on the type of milk and protein powder used).

I few years ago my mom bought me this Safe + Fair granola and I had no idea how to use it up - I was never a huge birthday cake flavored fan. But this is now my GO TO smoothie - with a touch of sweetness to satisfy and 30 grams of protein, this smoothie kept me full through the entire morning.

The Benefits of A Balanced Breakfast

Tap through to learn why I HIGHLY recommend breakfast with all of my clients if they want to set the foundatio for long-term health. It’s a non-negotiable for most of my clients and an EASY step to reduce stress on the body and hormones.

  • Cruciferous vegetables, like cauliflower, contain a plant compound called indole-3-carbinol (I3C) which act as a plant oestrogen and may help balance hormones by regulating estrogen levels.

Chia seeds also provide a similar benefits, with additional fiber, magnesium, and healthy fats. The perfect combination to support hormone production.

  • Eating breakfast simply give your gut energy to be able move and digest food

Veggies like cauliflower are beneficial for liver health, digestion and detoxification because of their rich supply of sulfur-containing compounds.

The banana, chia seeds, and medjool dates also provide nutrients like potassium and B vitamins which support proper nutrient absorption and healthy toxin/waste removal.

  • Breakfast helps your body bring blood sugar back to steady levels (depending on what we eat for breakfast) after you’ve naturally fasted for ~12 hours overnight . This promotes your body to start utilizing carbs for fuel, versus tapping into protein or muscle stores.

With stable blood sugar levels, we also promote stable cortisol production for healthy focus, mood, and immune health
